Building Better Products, Responsibly.
Every product presents an opportunity to make more considered choices.
We prioritise durability, commercial performance and long-term usability, helping reduce the need for premature replacement. Across our range, we continue to review material selection, manufacturing processes, product testing, packaging and supplier practices.
Biophilic Design That Supports Wellbeing.
Several of our product families are designed to include live plant spaces, reflecting our commitment to biophilic design. Beyond their aesthetic value, plants in the workplace have been shown to improve air quality, reduce stress, and increase overall wellbeing.
By integrating greenery directly into our furniture systems, we help customers create workspaces that feel more natural, balanced, and human-centric, core principles of long-term sustainable design.
Reducing Waste, Redefining Value.
Office Furniture is a major contributor to landfill volumes therefore minimising waste is a core operational goal. We're challenging the status quo by making waste reduction part of our everyday operations:
- Partnering with recycling networks to ensure material is diverted from landfill.
- Cutting down packaging
across the range. - 50% of wood pallets have been swapped out for recyclable cardboard pallets?

- Applying LEAN manufacturing principles to streamline processes and eliminate waste at every level.
- Involving our entire team in identifying and addressing waste across the business.
We’re also reviewing our “Circle of Life” product offer to increase circularity, whether through reuse, refurbishment, or responsible end-of-life solutions.
Smarter Energy, Smaller Footprint.
We’re investing in technologies and infrastructure that reduce energy consumption and promote a cleaner future:
Our Warehouse and Operations Hub which opened in September 2024 now run on solar power.
We’ve added EV charging stations to support low-emission transport.
Our facilities feature energy-efficient LED lighting and roof-installed light sheets to maximise natural light and reduce reliance on artificial sources.
Supply chain partnerships are being assessed on their sustainability credentials to ensure alignment across our entire value chain.
Planning for the Product Lifecycle.
We’re in the process of developing a formal End-of-Life Program for our products.
Our Ongoing Journey.
We’re proud to collaborate with industry groups such as the Australian Furniture Association, ensuring we stay informed, proactive, and ahead of upcoming changes in sustainability standards. We also benchmark our progress against industry peers to ensure we’re not just following the rules but helping set them.
Sustainability That Works
At OLG, we believe great design shouldn’t come at the environment’s expense. We’re working hard to shape a smarter, more sustainable future; because creating better workspaces means thinking beyond the desk and focusing on the world we leave behind.
