Australian Made Week is more than a celebration of local industry, it’s a reminder of the value that Australian manufacturing brings to businesses, designers, fit-out teams and workplaces across the country.
At OLG Office, local manufacturing isn’t just part of our story. It’s part of how we deliver better outcomes.
From our headquarters in Marsden Park, Sydney, we design and manufacture acoustic workplace solutions and custom upholstery that support the evolving needs of modern workspaces. Every product we create is backed by local craftsmanship, in-house capability, and a team committed to quality.
As a proudly Australian-owned, family-run business and certified holder of the Australian Made Green & Gold Kangaroo, we believe choosing local means choosing reliability, flexibility, and innovation.
Made here, made for work
For workplace designers, dealers, architects and fit-out professionals, project timelines and quality expectations are tighter than ever.
That’s where local manufacturing makes a difference.
By manufacturing in Australia, OLG Office can respond faster, maintain greater quality control, and deliver solutions that meet exact project specifications without relying on long overseas lead times.
Biophilic design in 2025 will move beyond aesthetics to measurable outcomes. Designers will use nature-inspired elements like circadian lighting systems to enhance productivity and reduce fatigue. Beyond plants and natural materials, expect data-backed integration of features like air purification systems using green walls or sensory experiences.
Peter White, Managing Director, explains. “It’s about speed, reliability and control, we’re not reliant on overseas timelines, allowing us to respond quickly and deliver when projects need it.”
Custom Upholstery: Designed Your Way
One of OLG’s core local manufacturing capabilities is custom upholstery.
Built in-house by skilled craftspeople, the upholstery team works closely with designers and project teams to create tailored furniture solutions that align with each workspace vision.
From fabric selection and stitching through to finishing and quality assurance, every step happens locally.
Whether it’s a bespoke banquette, tailored seating solution or a unique fabric specification, local production allows the team to deliver furniture that is both functional and highly customised.
“And because it’s done here, we can manage quality at every step, it’s not just about delivering furniture; it’s about helping bring a design vision to life,” says Peter.
The result is furniture designed to perform in real workplace environments while maintaining the aesthetic detail designers expect.
Alongside upholstery, OLG Office designs and manufactures acoustic workplace solutions from screens such as Edge 25, Studio 50 and the AcoustIQ range, along with customised aesthetic acoustic panel solutions.
Purpose-built for today’s evolving workspaces, these products help reduce noise, define zones and support focus while enhancing the overall look and feel of a space.
Designed and manufactured locally using in-house CNC capability, enables OLG to collaborate closely with partners and designers to deliver solutions tailored to each project.
OLG’s acoustic screens and panels can be customised across sizes, finishes, shapes and configurations. Acoustic performance is critical, but so is how a space looks and feels, we’re delivering both, function and form. The benefits extend beyond aesthetics.
AcoustIQ panels and screens are made using recycled materials and backed by a 10-year warranty, helping customers achieve practical, durable and sustainable workplace outcomes.
Precision, Process and Pride
Behind every product is a team of skilled specialists bringing concepts to life.
Jhoran, who leads the CNC side of the operation at OLG Office, sees firsthand how ideas move from design concepts to finished products ready for installation.
“Day-to-day, I’m working with the team to turn designs into something real,” he says
The CNC process begins with reviewing project drawings and specifications before programming machines to cut materials with precision. From there, accuracy becomes critical.
“It all starts with a concept or a design from the team,” Jhoran explains. “We translate that into something the machine can read, toolpaths, cuts, finishes.”
Having CNC in-house means we can adapt quickly and produce exactly what’s needed for each project.
“The best part is seeing a finished product installed in a space,” says Jhoran, ”that’s pretty rewarding.”
Supporting Australian Industry
Australian Made Week is ultimately about recognising the businesses, people and manufacturers helping shape local industry. For OLG Office, investing in Australian manufacturing means supporting skilled local jobs, maintaining high standards, and delivering workplace solutions customers and partners can rely on.
“What I’m most proud of is the team behind it. These are skilled craftspeople with years of experience. There’s a real level of care in what they do, you can see it in the finished product” , says Peter
This Australian Made Week, we’re proud to celebrate the people, processes and partnerships behind local manufacturing. As workplaces continue to evolve, the demand for flexible, locally manufactured solutions continues to grow.
By combining design capability, manufacturing expertise and local production, OLG Office remains focused on delivering products built for the future of work.
“For us, Australian manufacturing isn’t just a label. It’s how we deliver better outcomes for our partners, and it’s something we’re continuing to invest in”, says Peter.
